Approach to sequencing cars
The approach and direction I have chosen to follow has always been that the Body of the car is the driving force.  Follow it through its changes and take note of the other changes in parts attached to it.  With Bases being the number two driving factor.  Areas as Paint, Interiors, glass,  and wheels I usually identify within the body/base groups unless something appears to be significant or noticeable enough that it would lead to giving it consideration on its own.
